  1. Thanks so much for sharing the information. I rarely feel comfortable with looking for jobs online just because of the scam issue. Thankfully there is a site like Jobfox that has an anti-spam policy to protect job seekers. I’ve had great success with Jobfox since starting!

  2. Just found a job Thank thank thank you Jobfox! Woohoo =)

  3. What kinda job did is it? And how did you find it on Jobfox? Did it take a long time? Did you use their resume service? Share some details for those of us still searching for ANY job. I’m sick of SCAM stuff on job boards, it makes me want to give up!!!!!!!!

  4. Is there a Jobfox scam? I just signed up. So far, so good. Hope I get a job soon like that other commenter.

  5. I couldn’t believe it either when I lost my job.. the entire process of cleaning out my desk was just a shock and I felt like I was part of some giant scam the entire time.

I started by looking at some of the job sites I saw on the television but saw listing after listing that didn’t fit me. A friend recommended I tried out Jobfox and they helped me re-write my resume to fit what people were looking for with new employees and I quickly found a new job.

People don’t give enough credit to the Jobfox Scam policy either, without this we’d be more helpless than ever with the continually growing list of fake companies looking to take advantage of those willing to do anything for money. Thanks Jobfox for all your help!

  6. @Kory, what type of industry were you job hunting in? How quickly did you find it using Jobfox? I’m thinking about getting a resume rewritten by them like you did. I think mine is probably holding me back from getting considered for a lot of jobs.

  7. thanks to everyone for their comments on Jobfox! i have been looking around today for good job sites and i found job fox but I wanted to do some research on them first before i signed up for their service…. its good to see so many people having success with the site, i hope i can do the same. i am fortunate to have a job now but i would like to make a career change. i wanted to make sure this jobfox site wasnt be a scam and that is how i was able to find this site.

  8. So glad I found this article. Been searching around looking for a descent job site that doesn’t waste my time with fake degree programs and work from home ‘opportunities’… if that is what you call them.

Why isn’t there a scam policy on these other big job sites? or maybe there is but they just aren’t able to enforce theme??????? either way, the jobfox scam program sounds promising if they can help me find a job without being pitched every 10 seconds for a ‘bachelors degree in 5 months’. I mean… really… who would believe that you can get a real bachelors degree that fast. Or who would believe that you can work from home, just a few hours a day or week, and make more than a real job? Thats just not likely. Don’t fall for those scams!!!

  9. do you mind if i borrow some content from your site?offcourse i will link back?

  10. This is pretty interesting, I had no idea that all this seedy stuff was going on at those big job sites. It makes sense, though, they are probably trying to squeeze every penny they can out of the site. What a scam. yuk. Thanks for being on!

  11. Just found this while searching ‘jobfox scam’. Its nice to see they have a policy, aptly named the Jobfox Scam Policy. Recently signed up for it and was making sure I did my due diligence.

  12. I’ve always used Monster and CareerBuilder for my job search. I hadn’t even really heard of any others until I started a friend with a job search recently. I didn’t like the way those 2 big sites did things, so we started looking for other options. I ended up trying Indeed, the Ladders, Jobfox, and a few other small ones. I tend to like the experience on these small ones better. I feel like the jobs are better curated and there aren’t so many scams. I didn’t know about the Jobfox scam policy, but I think that is pretty cool.

  13. Thanks for posting this info. Please point me to any other websites where I can find good job listings. I hate hate job searching, its so miserable.

  14. Thank you thank you thank you for writing this article. There seems to be so much conflicting and misinformation on this topic on the internet. I’m glad this article is here, and I’m sure there are a ton of people who are thankful

  31. its a pretty cool job site, I must say. it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as the other jobs sites ive checked out like Careerbuilder and Monster – but I think I like it that way kinda.

the idea of having a job site that works like eharmony is certainly appealing. I’ll definitely give Jobfox a few weeks of my job search to see if I can get it to work out for me. so far i haven’t noticed any scam or fraudulent stuff, but i didn’t notice that stuff too much on other sites either. maybe its just the industry I’m in that doesn’t attract sketchy stuff like that.

  32. Why is it that every time I log into JobFox as a candidate, with any brower, and click the “Jobs” link on the top bar, I get the response, “We’re Sorry, we are having trouble connecting to our site. Try opening a new browser or please try again later.” This has occurred over the last 4 months, ever since I first set up my account! Please fix my account.

  33. Sometimes I question the internet and what is posted? Honestly the internet used to be like a different place, except that recently it seems to have become better and of the reason for it to be improving are blogs like this.

  92. Unbelievable information about Jobfox. I think I heard about them when they first launched, but it was still rather small and I wasn’t in the job market so it wasn’t of much use. I just took a look now that I’m exploring more opportunities and it really does seem like an incredible opportunity to be ‘paired’ with the perfect employer.

  93. Can I just say what a relief to find someone who already knows what they’re talking about on the internet. You definitively know how to bring an issue to light and make it appropriate. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.

  110. I havent any word to appreciate this post…..Really i am impressed from this post….the person who create this post it was a great human..thanks for shared this with us.

  111. This is great that they have these rules in place. Its really discouraging to get excited for a job, and then realize you have to pay to interview, transfer money, blah blah blah – its really clear that those types of opportunities are fakes and fraudulent. A job board that advertises a clear stance against such things really has a leg up against the competition.

  112. Spot on with this write-up, I think you nailed it

  113. Great post, thanks for it!

  114. Great write up! Right on! Pumps me up to find another Job!

  115. The Unemployment Office wants me to have an E-mail address for all jobs that I have applied to. Can someone with JobFox give me some help on this topic??????

  116. well!!!! I’m waiting!!!!!!!!

  117. Great Rules! Thank you for helping jobseekers find hope!

  118. I’m really impressed with this company. They’ve grown so fast, and made a big name for themselves in a saturated market. Who would have thought! And, additionally, a job site succeeding in a down economy? Now that is cool.

  119. This is really detailed – awesome!

  120. This is great!!!!!!!

  121. Great video of the CEO himself talking about the issue, I can appreciate that!

  122. I am not very experienced in job hunting, are there other sites where I can get more tips like that?

  123. I like your analysis, I think I agree with you based on the gathered facts. It might be controversial, but I think Jobfox is a great site and I’m looking forward to finding a job there. I like the programs that they have in place, it provides great access to headhunters and hiring managers.

  124. This seems to be a controversial topic. Jobfox rewrites resumes for people who have poor resumes, but some people seem to think that it makes them a scam if they point out that the resume they have is poor. I’d say that, if you go to the mechanic and they tell you that your car could use a new cabin filter, that I appreciate the feedback but I’ll make the final decision. If Jobfox tells you that your resume is bad, that isn’t a scam. The only way that would be a scam is if they took money to get it rewritten without your permission. Or, if they took your money, and then didn’t deliver the resume upon completion. It isn’t a scam to tell someone they have a problem. If that is the case, then every mechanic I’ve been to is a scam artist (true… some are).

  125. We passed this around our office – very interesting and I think that the facts that you’ve gathered are great.

  126. I like how you structured your coverage of this site

  127. Thanks for the extra motivation – I needed that today! Really down on how my job search is going so far. I should try Jobfox based on what u said

  128. Great article on the jobfox scam topic. I personally think that the service is great – for a tiny bit of money you get a great resume that could earn you thousands of extra dollars in salary… I’ll take that trade any day.

  129. i read a lot of blogs, but this is one of my favs

  130. Thanks a ton, this is exactly what I was looking for!

  131. the content is really original, I like that about you guys!

  132. Good stuff as always

  133. Its amazing how you are able to cover these topics on a daily basis, i’m sure u have motivated many people looking for new jobs

  134. professionally covered, well done sire or ma’am

  135. I just did a quick Google search to find out more information on the Jobfox scam policy. Thanks for covering it in such detail – awesome!

  136. You seem like you did alot of research lol. Keep on putting up more updates!

  137. I don’t just want Jobfox to find me a job…I want to work for them! What a good company.

  138. This is a popular article – I think you’ve really found something great here with Jobfox

  139. I’d like to share my experience with the company to get your thoughts. I lost employment about 5 months ago when the company I was working for went out of business. This is the first time in my life I didn’t have a job. I literally had to start from scratch with a resume, job board accounts, and all that stuff. This was my first time in the job market, so I did a lot of research and asked a bunch of friends for advice.

I setup accounts on Monster, Indeed, and Jobfox. I also met up with old friends, used LinkedIN and Facebook for connections, and networked as much as I could to perhaps find a job that way. In the end, it was Jobfox’s matching tool that found me my new job (although the other sites did find lots of opportunities and I had some interviews). I feel like the extra info I gave Jobfox really helped in identifying the right jobs for me. The tips they gave me for finding a job were invaluable as well. In the end, this is a jobfox success story.

  140. I think that Jobfox-scam is an interesting topic to focus on for a blog, how’d you decide on that? seems like an interesting company though i guess

  141. I have heard so many bad things on jobfox. Especially on their resume builder. I think the people writing those bad reviews are full of $#@#$^%^!!! I love the resume Jobfox wrote for me. People want to blame everything on someone else for their bad luck with finding jobs.

  142. This is a great website that provides a ton of helpful tips. I can see why there are so many people contributing in the comments.

  143. I’ve been interested in using this site ever since I read about them on TechCrunch. I found my wife on eHarmony, so I am betting I could find a new job on Jobfox since people say they are the eHarmony of job searchers/employers. Cheers to us all for good luck in finding new, fulfilling and satisfying careers.

  144. Love the comments! I love to see people’s passion for job hunting strategies

  145. Good to know that the validate every job unlike other websites I know of…

  146. I just signed up for this job site, I’m excited to see if it will work for me. Fingers Crossed XXXXX

  147. Right on! This is exactly what I needed to see

  148. Well stated, what this company has done is pretty far along in terms of what other job sites are doing. I commend them for the stance on scams that they have taken. Now if only every job site did this, we’d be prevented from a lot of problems.
